Clear braces to straighten your teeth
It is faster, cheaper, comfortable, convenient, removable and efficient – It is a winner all the way!
Do you need orthodontic treatment for teeth alignment?
Have you been resisting or postponing a visit to your dentist for straightening your teeth? Reasons for it may be many, such as crowded or misaligned teeth, cross bite, chewing difficulties, or just badly arranged teeth robbing you of a beautiful smile. Are you too embarrassed, suppressing the happy, sunny, sparkling smile you want to greet the world with? Are you shying away from braces?
You may be scared away by the look of the old fashioned wired metal braces you have seen kids wearing, or you may even have had them as a child yourself and may again need similar dental work now. While the wired metal braces indeed have several difficulties and look quite unattractive, they are actually needed for certain kinds of teeth straightening treatment.
Do you know about Invisalign?
However, you may not need metal braces after all. Now there is a modern, invisible and far more comfortable orthodontic material available called Invisalign, manufactured by Align Technologies it is a superior alternative to metal braces for rearranging teeth with alignment problems, unlike the old metal braces which can be uncomfortable.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is the brand name for these clear braces as opposed to older wire controlled metal braces. These realign your teeth with a progressive set of flexible plastic trays. As the name suggests, it is an orthodontic material which almost invisibly rearranges teeth with alignment problems, unlike the old metal braces which are very visible and quite unattractive.
How is this material different?
Invisalign uses a specially developed and patented material to make the aligner trays which removes the difficulties of metal braces. It is flexible, holds the shape much longer and thus works faster and more accurately than similar products available. Unlike the metal braces, this treatment has no wires that can come loose or get cut, needing immediate trips to the dentist.
How does it work?
Invisalign uses CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacture) technology to figure out the number of steps and trays needed to achieve the best teeth position for your ideal smile. Then a series of progressive, almost invisible clear plastic ‘aligners’ or trays, made of flexible, transparent plastic are created. These trays are soft, comfortable and specially custom-made for you, which move your teeth in small steps towards their ideal position. You change the set of aligners every two or three weeks, each set moving your teeth slowly and gently towards the next position.
Is there anything even better than Invisalign?
There is a new technique called Accelerated Invisalign, which can cut the treatment time by half. But it does not work for everybody. It does not cost extra and you can switch to it even in the middle of your Invisalign treatment.
Is Invisalign user-friendly?
Unlike the metal braces, Invisalign adjusts to your lifestyle. You can remove it for brushing, flossing, succumbing to the temptation of eating hard, sticky, sweet or acid foods and drinks. Or partying, important meetings and formal photo shoots, and it still works just fine, so long you wear it at least 22 hours a day.
Does Invisalign work for all ages?
This technology is highly suitable for teenagers who are very image conscious, as well as adults and older people who may be embarrassed by the traditional association of metal braces with young children. They may even believe that teeth cannot be moved in older people. But they sure can be.
Can Invisalign really protect your teeth better?
The older metal braces are difficult to keep clean and teenagers simply do not have the patience, inclination or skill to brush around each tooth twice a day. Flossing is nearly impossible. As a result, a person can end up with cavities or damaged teeth when metal braces finally come off. Invisalign allows you to take off the trays whenever you want to and give your teeth the thorough cleaning and flossing they deserve.
Is Invisalign cost-effective?
We charge 18 Monthly Payments of $297/Month for the full Invisalign treatment and our consultation is free. It is faster, taking no more than six months or so. We also make some other types of clear aligners in our office for simpler cases. They are less expensive but deliver the same patient satisfaction and safety. However, Invisalign is the best choice for more complicated or damaged dental conditions.
